SiteLink Leads in Self-Storage Rental Apps

Rental Interfaces from SiteLink Partners Make Self-Service a Breeze

SiteLink, the global leader in cloud-based software and payment processing for storage operations of all sizes, is pleased to announce self-service “kiosk” solutions integrated with SiteLink management software. These in-office rental interfaces, offered through several SiteLink technology partners, provide convenient self-service options for tenants while saving time and money for owners.

Highlights

  • A growing number of SiteLink partners offer a variety of solutions
  • This innovative technology gives customers a self-service option to rent immediately using a tablet or PC in the office
  • SiteLink integration with the app saves time and money

SiteLink partners offer in-store self-service

A growing number of SiteLink Marketplace Partners offer varying versions of the in-office rental app including Rapidstor, Automatit, SpiderDoor, The Storage Group, AKIBA and OpenTech Alliance. Stores in almost every state are using some version of an in-office rental interface. These apps offer a complete move-in solution allowing the customer to enter information, choose a unit, and sign a lease with SiteLink eSign™ electronic signature and document storage.

On-screen prompts and clear instructions guide customer through complete process

In-office rental apps are easily accessed on a tablet, smartphone, Mac or PC workstation, depending on the app provider and the facility’s office setup.

Easy-to-follow instructions guide customers through the move-in process. For example, Automatit’s kiosk app, available to its website customers and created just for SiteLink users, provides a step-by-step menu of rates, discounts, unit details and climate control options.

Progressive web apps, like the ClickandStor™ app from The Storage Group, offer more options including ID verification, push notifications to tenants, and driver’s license uploads to SiteLink. OpenTech Alliance’s INSOMNIAC 50 Pro in-store kiosk solution has multilingual capability, an option for the manager to control the screen and comes with a tablet for optimal app performance.

Rental apps offer convenience, accuracy, and integration with SiteLink management software

In-store rental apps are uniquely appealing to customers and owners. During peak hours, customers may choose the app rather than waiting in line. Or, tenants may only use the app to quickly make a payment using a credit card. This helps managers who are busy helping other customers or are currently out of the office.

Rental apps also appeal to tech-savvy users who are accustomed to or prefer self-service. Customers enter their own information, reducing misspellings, typos and other errors.

In-store rental apps are easy to set up and require little or no training. Often the app costs less than a traditional kiosk. Certain SiteLink partners such as AKIBA and Automatit offer the app as a no-cost add-on to their core website platform.

More than move-ins

SpiderDoor’s native mobile app allows customers to open the gate plus pay bills, rent units and unlock the unit door (coming soon). Rapidstor’s solution can also offer online “deals” including discount plans, that can apply to any group of units. Rapidstor also tracks reservations and rentals. Web apps such as AKIBA push deals and specials through when set to Web Online in SiteLink.

Using SiteLink’s API, the reservations, rentals, merchandise purchases and payments are all updated real-time in SiteLink.
