First-Class Stores Trust SiteLink’s Complete Management Software Solution
Mini-Storage Messenger announced their 2017 Facility of the Year winners, and the Overall, Specialty and International winners all rely on SiteLink software to manage and grow their stores. Since 2004, SiteLink customers represent more than half of all Facility of the Year winners. Here is a look at this year’s three winners who use SiteLink.
Red Carpet Self Storage (Universal Storage Group) in Franklin, Tennessee – Overall Winner
With its upscale, high-tech design combined with traditional, comfortable feel, Red Carpet Storage fits right in with this affluent, historial community just outside Nashville. With 562-units, including 39 non-climate controlled units earmarked for cars, boats and RVs, Red Carpet Storage appeals to a broad customer base of residential and commercial customers.
Red Carpet also provides professional space including a conference room, laptop workstations and concierge service for commercial tenants who store their goods, inventory and equipment at the facility.
Owner Gary Pharo relied on the expertise and artistic flair of Universal Storage Group’s (USG) M. Anne Ballard to design everything from the loading areas and flooring to the color scheme and hardware. “Gary Pharo wants to go after the affluent market and over-deliver to them on finishes and the look and feel,” said Ballard, “I knew we could have a homerun.”
Red Carpet was able to launch the site in short order by adopting system-wide settings and policies from Universal Storage Group’s existing sites that already use SiteLink management software. SiteLink’s API integrations and consolidated reporting via SiteLink Corporate Control make managing multiple sites much easier for multi-store operators like USG.
Sobe Wine and Self Storage in Miami Beach, Florida – Specialty Winner
South Miami Beach had the ideal demographics for a full-service wine storage facility, according to Sobe’s development partners, and the investment in this specialty market is proving quite successful. Sobe Wine and Self-Storage has 140 temperature and humidity controlled wine lockers and 22,000 square feet of self-storage available. It’s truly the ultimate wine-storage experience.
The area’s restrictions on design and business development extended the project several years and included approval of the South Beach Historic Preservation Board. Sobe opened in May with a modern, pedestrian-friendly design dotted with art-deco elements in keeping with the area’s hip yet historic community.
Using SiteLink as the backbone for their unique operation, Sobe successfully incorporates a host of technology tools in the store, now considered “one of the most technologically advanced storage facilities in the area,” according to their website.
SiteLink accommodates the distinctive layout of floor-to-ceiling wine lockers and highly configurable space. Integrated PTI access and SiteLink Merchant Services streamline operations and deliver a world-class wine and self-storage experience to customers.
Mr. Storage in Santiago, Chile – International Winner
Grupo PATIO, owner and developer of Mr. Storage, envisioned a premium facility built with quality standards for this high-end community in Santiago, Chile – one that would set a new standard of excellence in this rapidly growing market. Despite encountering several challenges during its 5-year development, Mr. Storage boasts state-of-the-art design and security, the country’s first known wine storage and beautiful architecture.
In planning the facility, the priority was to “get our clients’ attention without disturbing the neighborhood and its suburban atmosphere,” according to Jaime Diaz Garcia, Grupo PATIO’s Regional Director. As a result, Mr. Storage has a friendly, warm image completed with a respect for the environment and minimal impact during construction. Mr. Storage is built to several LEED standards including high-efficiency lighting, a sustainable construction process and building materials with recycled components.
Grupo PATIO selected SiteLink for its management software as a complete solution for this world-class facility. The software’s multi-language version, cloud-based architecture and SiteLink’s in-house, Spanish-speaking customer support made for an easy transition. The state-of-the-art PTI security system ties into SiteLink to provide top-level security for the store.
Congratulations to the winners and all those who contribute to their success.
