It's Labor Day Weekend, What Do You Have Planned

5 Ideas For Labor Day Fun
To get this weekend started we wanted to share five ideas for a great three day weekend that aren't your typical house party or barbecue! This is also a great way to engage with your customers, tenants and colleagues online pre and post activity.
Go Hiking
For many, it may be the last long weekend of the year where the weather is comfortably warm and conducive to outside activity! Take advantage of the weekend and bust out your hiking boots, grab a group of friends, pack a heavy lunch and go blaze a new trail of adventure. Hiking is a great way to unplug from the hectic pace of work and let your mind relax, let go of stress and find a stream along the trail and take a nap.
Volunteer Your Time
During this weekend there is always plenty of ways to volunteer your time and give back to the community. Check in with local food banks, shelters, or other organizations and be the change you want to see in the world. So often we get caught up in our own lives that we forget to help those around us. As a wise person once said, "It is better to give than it is to receive." Join a cause and then share what you did on your blog so those around you are inspired to help too.
Attend A Food Festival
Who doesn't love eating food? This is the last weekend for big cookouts and nothing makes one's mouth water more than attending a cookout filled with yummy food and cold drinks. Search your local town or city postings for community festivals that you can attend and get the chance to meet new people in your community.
Attend A Sporting Event
It's football season; the face paintings and tailgates have begun! This weekend bring your A-game and attend a sporting event and cheer for your favorite team. Be sure to get all dressed up and take pictures to show off your dedication to the game.
Go Camping
Just like hiking, this may be one of the last weekends for an extended camping trip. Instead of only hiking a few hours in the woods, make a weekend out of it. Grab your tent (or buy a new one, labor day is a great time for deals), graham crackers, chocolate and marshmallows and enjoy the peaceful evenings stoking the fire, gazing at the stars, and eating way too many s'mores while telling ghost stories.
Whatever you plan, enjoy making new memories time with family and friends.
