Audits can help you discover major problems, and can help you immediately correct them so they are not prolonged. An important part of any audit is to ask a lot of questions to inquire how and why certain activities are handled.

  1. Are your procedures and processes clearly defined to the manager?
  2. Are they being followed?
  3. Do managers stop part- time employees from following up with past due tenants?
  4. Do trends show your cash decreasing over time?
  5. Are credits increasing?
  6. Are charges and units being deleted?

Conduct frequent walk-through's of your facility and compare them to your occupancy reports. Findings may reveal that rented units do not show in SiteLink.
