One of the first things you may notice is how much faster the website runs. Moving away from a WordPress site architecture to a PHP framework not only reduced page load times dramatically, it offers opportunities for custom development to enhance the user experience. Enhancements such as improved navigation, search and content filtering help you find information faster.

Better Website Navigation

A difficult task when creating a website is optimizing user experience - giving customers quick access to what matters most to them, without having to spend a long time looking for information. The more content a website contains, the greater the need for a clear, predictable user experience. A number of enhancements have been made in this endeavor.

Use the top navigation of the SiteLink website to quickly choose a content category or a subsection from resulting drop-down menu. We’ve added on-page navigation by way of breadcrumb links towards the top of each page to help you keep track of your location, as well as added sidebar navigation on the right of most pages for quick access to other areas of the current content category. Additional quick links can be found further down on the right of most webpages to access popular content.

Another big navigational improvement is the added site-wide Search feature, displaying filterable results from FAQs, product & solution webpages, webinars, blog articles, SiteLink Marketplace, news articles, testimonials and event calendar. There are also content filters on the blog, FAQs, event calendar, SiteLink news and customer testimonial pages.

We are currently building out a new training video interface to take advantage of site-wide search and content filtering, along with adding more quality training videos. Stay tuned.

Expanded Content Areas

The redesigned website also comes with added self-storage content. A new Solutions area offers perspectives beyond basic facility management, our Resources area provides industry-specific content, the Support area is SiteLink-specific with an expanded FAQ, and the new SiteLink Marketplace, previously called “Partners” on the website, is all about integration.

The new SiteLink Marketplace features technology partners you can trust. Owners and operators have choices and can shop in one place for vetted partners who integrate with SiteLink. SiteLink's integration standard for built-in test and verification tools deliver peace of mind and ensure proper service.

More than fifty technology partners, including call centers, listing services, web designers, tenant insurance, text messaging and kiosks make use of the SiteLink API.
